My little budgie Pickle passed away today, I keep looking around expecting him to be there, I guess I'm in denial he's gone.
He'd been completely healthy until this morning when he could barely stand upright, took him to the avian vets who told my mum and me that some antibiotics would cure him. As soon as we got home I just knew something wasn't right and he looked worse than ever, he passed away in my hands less than an hour later.
Budgies I think are really underestimated, they're intelligent, sweet and each one has a unique personality. It's hard not to get attached to them.
I know the painting's rushed and sloppy, it only took an hour but I just needed some sort of tribute for him

A thoughtful tribute to a beautiful bird 
'Pickle' is such a cute name, when you consider his coloration. So sorry for your loss, it's so hard when you lose a friend. and yes the little budgies do pack a lot of energy life and love into their small packages, they are as varied as people when it comes to personality traits!
